The River by Linda Dellandre

          Join us Sunday, September , 4 - 6 pm, for a demo by Linda Dellandre, our featured guest artist. Linda  will demo her techniques and give advice on best pastel plein air practices, including showing us plein air equipment. Linda will also be offering a mini-workshop earlier that day. The mini workshop is from 12:30pm to 3:30 pm. Cost for the workshop is $40 per person. You are encouraged to sign up soon, seats are limited. The meeting and demo are free and are from  4 pm to 6 pm at the Georgetown Public Library (this month only). 
Note:  because of the mini-workshop the September meeting will be held at the GEORGETOWN PUBLIC LIBRARY. Click here for directions.

Reception: Sunday, Nov. 6 from 12:15 pm to 1:15 pm

Pick Up Date: Monday, Nov. 28, 10:00 am

Click here to download exhibit form. Print it out, fill it in and bring it with you when you drop off your paintings. This show is open to all current members. There will be no juror to enter but the show will be judged and prizes awarded.

Scholarship winner Natalie Tarrant accepted her award certificate from  Scholarship Chair, Charlene Eppright  and outgoing President, Rae Andrews. Natalie is the daughter of Sharon Kilday and David Tarrant, and niece of APS member, Carolyn Kilday. She will be starting North Texas University in Denton in the fall, pursuing an education in art. Natalie attended the June meeting and brought some of her beautiful artwork to show us. The scholarship will give her $1000 per year for two years to apply towards her art school education.

Rae will show you how she approaches her animal portraits on velour paper in her loose and yet realistic style.

Linda recently was awarded 1st Place at the Pastel Society of Southeast Texas “Art of Pastel”Exhibition Humble Plein Air, Humble, TX. She was an Accepted Artist, 3rd Annual Plein Air Salon Plein Air Magazine. She achieved Gold Medallion Master Circle at International Association of Pastel Societies And also received the Award of Excellence, American Women Artists,Hanna Gallery, Fredericksburg, TX Her academic/artistic training was at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art in Philadelphia, Pa. She is a Member/Outdoor Painters Society, Tx and International Artists Pastel Society and Founding Member Arizona Plein Air Painters. Plein air shows have included Sedona Plein Air Invitational, Zion Plein Air Invitational, Artists of Texas, Rites of Spring, Randy Higbee Gallery, 6x6
